Tea Party
We’ve all done it. That vivid daydream that crosses our mind in 1.05 seconds when we see that gorgeous piece staring back at us on the store rack. So we convince ourselves we must buy it, because surely we see ourselves frolicking away in it. Upon taking it home we find a place for it tucked away in our closets…never for it to see the light of day again.
This skirt is one of my victims. I love it. or so I thought. Maybe I only love the idea of it.
I am going through some major changes in life. And one of the things I must do is to let go of a TON of pieces in my closet. I wish I could say I have an average size wardrobe and that this simple purge is normal. No, my friends. I am a creative and a curator at heart. I’ve collected so much through the years. Every stage, every character, every location, every phase, every situation, every occasion, every dream, every want, for every bargain, for richer or poorer….I bought or collected something for it.
I wanted to have a tea party. I can see and smell the vision so clearly. That tea party never happened and she was long forgotten. So this skirt from Naples, will be leaving the nest. I don’t know where she’ll go, but it’s time to part ways.
